Raised in the Great State of Texas! I served in the US Army from 2007 to 2013. I was medically retired as a Staff Sergeant due to injuries sustained. I was a 19D (Cavalry Scout) with 27 months of deployment between Afghanistan, and Iraq. During this time I served as a driver, gunner, dismount, dismount team leader, and a section sergeant. Married to my beautiful wife Ashley for 12 years, and we have 2 beautiful kids. My 9 year old son, David, and my 5 year old little girl Leianna. Currently residing in the South Liuisiana area. I'm your pretty typical Southern bred American. I'm obsessed with football, and I love to hunt and fish! I'm all about my meat and potatoes, and I especially enjoy trying new things with the smoker and grill. My time in the service came with the luxury of the love of alot of brothers and sisters. Unfortunately, not all of them are with us anymore. Since joining the Army, I've lost 14 brothers to the atrocity that we know as 22 a day. I know a handful of others who have struggled physically and financially, even being or becoming homeless at some point. Then there is the unspoken issue that many veterans face, alcohol and drug dependencies that are a direct result of their time in service. I just lost my best friend in 2021 to a drug overdose. He was a combat veteran as well. These personal connections and experiences are exactly why I want to be a part of and help grow this specific foundation. Awareness has been put out there, and none of these issues are unknown anymore. There are a lot of foundations for "Awareness", this is a foundation that is finally going to take action and meet these problems head on in order to solve them! Being hands-on, veterans helping veterans, is the best course of action, and I can not wait to get started!
