I grew up in Forney, TX, a small town outside of Dallas with my parents, Steve and Lori. My time in grade school consisted of sports, friends and most importantly, my youth group. In my sophomore year, I began attending a Criminal Justice class where I met Mr. Cobb, who would turn out to be my mentor and the reason I joined the military. Junior year, I made the decision to join the United States Marine Corps. On September 7th, 2008, I embarked on what would be a life changing 5 year journey. I graduated from boot camp in December of 2008, and not even a year later, I found myself in Garmsir District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, where I would spend 8 months. Once I returned, 9 months later, I would deploy once again on the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) as the global response force to the 2011 Libya crisis and would be at sea for a year. Shortly after returning, I left the Marines to pursue other opportunities. I spent a few years doing sales in retail and then moved on to business development in real estate. I now reside in McKinney, TX, with my beautiful daughter and my soon to be wife, Heather. We are set to be married in Nov. of 2023.
