Community Relations Director
I was born in Humble, Texas, but raised in Huntsville, Texas. I joined the United States Marine Corps in 2008 as a Aviation Mechanic. In 2011, I deployed with VMM-266 on the 26th MEU aboard the USS Kearsarge to the Red Sea in support of various operations. I later detached with a small element into Helmand Province, Afghanistan to Camp Bastion (now known as Camp Shorabak) where I remained for the rest of the deployment. After returning to the States, I remained with VMM-266 as the unit prepared for a turn around redeployment. This time, I found myself in Africa, Jordan, and lastly for the rest of the deployment, Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of various operations. After returning to the States, I changed commands and traveled to Camp Pendelton to report to MALS-39 where I completed my second enlistment. After 9 years of service, I left the Marines to spend time with family. After I graduated Abilene Christian University with my wife, Brandi Masterson, we now seek to be involved in the community in Abilene, Texas, and helping others. I enjoy spending time with my family, trail riding in my Jeep, shooting guns, and trying new things. I'm apart of ERF to get involved with and bring awareness to the struggle veterans face. To give back to the community and my brothers that are in need of the promise we made to one another in the Marines, which is having each others back.
